Watercolour landscape painting with Henry Smith; Sunday, 15 September; 10am-2pm for 6 weeks
Watercolour is a fluid, atmospheric, lively and luminous medium. The medium of watercolour can be used as a sketch for oil painting or as a finished work in itself. The medium gained popularity in the 1900’s with J. M. W. Turner and currently with artists like eX De Medici a Canberra based watercolorist.
In this series of 6 workshops, we will cover landscape painting. Participants will learn basic principles and techniques applied to landscape. For those students with experience, more advanced ideas and techniques will be used.
At the start of each session Henry will talk about and show examples of what we will undertake, and demonstrate a step-by-step process of how to achieve a finished painting
This class will benefit beginners and those with experience.
