A Family-Friendly Pottery Group at Central Craft

Program Overview

Age Group: 5 – 12 years
Supervision:
All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (parent, guardian, or caregiver) for the entire session. This ensures a safe, shared creative experience.

What We Do:
Children will explore a range of pottery techniques in a supportive, playful environment, including:

• Hand-building
• Slab work
• Coil pots
• Surface decoration
• Glazing

Sessions also include time for creative play and skill-building.

Session Details

• When: Second Saturday of each month
• Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (2-hour session)
• Group Size: Max 10 children per session

Costs

• $10 per participant
• Family cap: Max $30 per family
  Includes: Clay, glaze, firing, and use of tools
  Payment: EFT (details provided upon booking)

Enrolment

• Booking Deadline: Fridays by 5 PM or until spots are filled

What to Bring

• Clothes that can get messy (old clothes or apron)
•  Water bottle
• Snack
• Closed-in shoes (no thongs or sandals)

Workshop Guidelines

• Adults must remain with children throughout the session
• Please arrive 10 minutes early to settle in
•  Follow all safety and studio instructions
•  If anyone is feeling unwell, we kindly ask you to stay home

Additional Notes

• Clay projects take time to dry and be kiln-fired—collection dates will be announced after firing
• We value creativity, patience, and having fun together as a community!
