We need your help to keep the shop open

The Central Craft shop relies on volunteers to keep the door open, due to COVID shop hours were reduced but we still need more volunteers to keep the doors open. If a four hour shift seams too long why not try sharing a shift with a 'shop buddy'? Interested? Pop in and have a chat with Isla or Lucy.

STUDIO happenings

Thank you Donovan for reviving Central Craft's Fibre Friendly Friday! Spinning, felting, knitting crochet...if it's fibre, it's Friday! (Hi to Regina Yurkonis, our former facilitator!)
Some of the recent creative activity in our Studio
Congress Womens Together group craft workshops with Maria Vanhees, Watercolour Workshops with Henry Smith, Sit and Sew with Bernice and Yipirinya School students and staff exploring their family connections through art.
HOW beautiful is this nice clean ceramics studio, thanks Maria for working hard cleaning up and keeping the dust down. We care about your health, clay dust is hazardous, please help us keep the dust down by wet wiping and mopping after each studio use.

SHARE your story here

The Alice Springs Home School group uses the Studio each Tuesday. Recently their weekly art lesson focused on shadows. It is rare for us to have a shady day but with no sun this rainy Tuesday afternoon improvisation and some torches were needed.

Do you have a great story or picture to share with everyone about what you've been doing in the studio? This is the space for you!

Send your stories and pictures to admin@centralcraft.org.au

Your BLUE SKY Ideas

Blue Sky Ideas

Thanks to everyone who has shared big and small, short term and long term ideas for improving, growing and maintaining this mighty little arts organisation. We are trying to capture all your ideas on our notice board in the office. Please pop in (Tue/Wed are best) and have a chat or leave a note on the sign in desk. Not everything will be possible or be implemented straight away but your ideas matter and they will help keep us on track, honour your collective decades of service and value your corporate knowledge.
