Hello friends and supporters,
Thanks to everyone for supporting Central Craft through another year of craft and creativity. Through Strategic planning, Beanie Festival, all of the exhibitions in the June Marriott Gallery and the announcement of Alice Springs as the 2022 Australian Ceramic Triennale host - it has been a year of growth. The 2020 program will bring interstate visitors to our Artist in Residence program with exchanges with other design and craft centres of Australia and another exciting Beanie Festival workshop program. Artlands 2020 regional arts conference will be held in Launceston, Tasmania for anyone interested in attending.
Central Craft will be at the Town Council Christmas Carnival again this year with a team of great humans to help you to craft that special Christmas gift, join us this Friday the 6th from 5:00pm - 9:00pm on the church lawns in Todd Mall.
Real to Reel: The Craft Film Festival was a great night, thanks to everyone who came along. Call-outs for the Australian Makers' Film Festival 2020 will be open soon stay tuned to Central Craft social media for updates. We look forward to bringing more events and opportunities like this to Alice Springs.
A Bush Christmas exhibition is on in the June Marriott Gallery until the 15th of December, don’t miss out on seeing this wonderful show, brought to you by Amelia, Jude, Marilyn and their team of volunteers for their efforts. Read more about it here.
Summer closing. Central Craft retail outlet and June Marriott Gallery will be closed 15th December and we reopen 4th February 2020. Studio access will be limited to members who have out of hours access and workshop participants.
Kitchen renovations - The Department of Infrastructure Planning and Logistics have promised us a new kitchen, but planning takes time and we haven't got a start date yet. Keep reading newsletters and follow us on social media. We'll let everyone know as soon as we are given notice by the department.

Are you a practicing artist and tutor interested in holding workshops at Central Craft? We're seeking expressions of interest from tutors for our 2020 workshop program and the 2020 Beanie Festival Workshops send us your ideas.
Applications close Friday 31st January 2020.
The 2020 members exhibition will open in the June Marriott Gallery in April so there's plenty of time to prepare. Next year's theme is Black and White.
EOI for Wednesday morning sewing classes with Bernice Bristow. This series of 10 project-based workshops will aim to start Wednesday 5th February 9:30am - 12:30pm $160 for the term. If you'd be interested to enroll email Bernice.
Wearable Arts school holiday workshops will be on in January and next year's theme is Water. FREE workshops will run in a pop-up in Alice Plaza Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in January on the 8th, 9th, 10, 15th, 16th, 17th, 22nd, 23rd and 24th from 10:00am - 1:00pm.
